We drove our Land Rover(s) half way round the world, twice, over 11 years. We started selling Flag Stickers for overlanders but couldn't do the business justice, so we sold it to focus on the windows and other products that will come later.
I needed my Pulse Ambulance windows to open! The military decided to make the windows on my Land Rover Pulse Ambulance (BFA) without this simple function so I designed them to open where they currently did not. Simple really. Then the Defender rear door opening window came into being. Same reason.
We wanted something that didn't limit us to just windows. overlandwindows was the first idea but why just do windows. We will be adding more products in future. The .com is being squatted by someone for profit so we took the .co.uk instead.
We hope to add some other products soon which may come along as a request.
We are typical small business really but make windows for some big names. The Land Rover designs are registered and protected a little like copyright. The windows we make in the UK in the factory in the North West. Various aspects are made offsite like the glass as we make the frames and assemble them in house. The glass requires very special equipment especially chemical tinting. We cannot do that here so it all outsourced. The Glass is marked with the required automotive stuff you'd expect and need for the windows to pass TUV etc.
